This week, Mr. Walter's Geography students finished up their chapter on Latin American culture. They were given a creative challenge where to create a Peteca, in a single period. The following day, each team had the chance to use and judge each Peteca in the gym. Peteca is a traditional sport in Brazil, played with a "hand shuttlecock" from indigenous origins and reputed to be as old as the country itself. In the end, first and second places were separated by a single point. Drake and Olivia C. took home 1st place over Macy, Oscar, and Jalyn. It is always an incredibly fun and entertaining two days!
